About this site

This site is based on the WebSite(tm) software from O'Reilly & Associates.

This site is designed to provide you with as much general information as possible about the CTC Companies, formed in June of 1983, and the services we provide. CTC Companies include Computers Today on TV, Faxnews, Inc., Computer Training Corporation, We Fix Computers, One Crossroads Place BBS, Kansas City Mail Online, & Computers & Tele-Communications. We are using a complex of computers and servers to offer a broad range of web and online services. Included on this server is our Webboard at One Crossroads Place, the finest address in Cyberspace!

This particular server is based on a custom designed machine by Graeme Gibson the president of Computer Training Corporation and Host of the TV show Computers Today. The CPU is a NexGen 586 running at 100 Mhz, using 24 MB of ram and connected to 2 Novell file servers, and 2 communications servers. It is running Windows NT server and is connected to the Internet and our own private Intranets forming the online service Crossroads U.S.A.

Together with 7 other computers this site forms our part of the Super Cyber Place Complex. It is co-located with the BBS's of One Crossroads Place and Kansas City Mail Online, that we run and the Metropolis BBS's run by Metropolis Systems. We are further co-located with Sysop News BBS and several virtual BBS's including the Gibson Digital Library and The Energy Network by KCPL.
